Thursday Thirteen #23

Thirteen Reasons I'm Happy Today

1. My horoscope says I'm getting money tomorrow.

2. It's almost SuperBowl Sunday--close enough to anticipate, far enough to savor.

3. This week seems like a much better week for my friends than last week was.

4. Emergency Bootsquad meeting tomorrow!

5. Lost returns tonight.

6. One of the spoilers for Lost said that someone we thought was dead in the season finale in May isn't. Until the show airs, I can hope it's Charlie. :)

7. Lost has eight episodes in the can! Just in time for everything else to be gone gone gone...EXCEPT:

8. Supernatural, which returns tonight for it's final four-episode run.

9. Discussion about why the network switched episodes 11 and 12 around indicates that last episode, "Jus in Bello," is very, very good.

10. Tonight I get to watch TV and relax with shows I know I love and can't wait for, which means I get:

11. Sam's hugeness, Sam's hands, Sam's dimples, Sam's emo hair...

12. Dean's masculine vulnerability, Dean's hands, Dean's eyes, Dean's no-way-I-have-emo-hair-that's-why-I-keep-it-short hair, and...

13. Winchester brothers. *sigh*

OMG, that ep was swoonworthy. That final scene with the tight close-up of Dean talking about how he's going to become a demon. The haunted look in his eyes that he was desperately trying to hide from Ruby. The weight that settled in his gut as he realized he had no way out. You can all see it in Jensen Ackles' acting. Why isn't this guy in big, giant, Oscar-worthy feature films???

final four-episode run

Not (gasp!) final four EVER, right? Just final-four for the season???

I don't think I'd put this ep on my list of favorites, but there were plenty of favorite moments, and it definitely had great acting all the way around. Sammy broke my heart when he said he had to be more like Dean.

I think that about Jensen every time I see him!!

LOL--just the final pre-strike episodes. No idea what's going to happen to the show when the strike is over. I'll tell ya, though, they're killing me with the whole taking-all-hope-away part, and the whole Sam-accepting-reality part. DEAN CAN'T DIE!!!!!

I was like Karmela, hoping you didn't mean last 4 ever. Wah!

I know what you mean about taking all the hope away. I've got to think there's some way it can be changed, and maybe it's up to Sam. I mean, Dean usually saves Sam, so maybe it'll be Sam that finds a way to save Dean.

I hope so, Trish! That seemed to be where they were going at the end of last season, when Sam said it was his turn to save Dean.

You ready for the game now? Got popcorn? *g*

I've never seen Supernatural. *sigh*

Haven't decided on the popcorn yet, but probably. :) Pico de gallo is made, a bucket of margaritas are slushing up in the freezer, and I'm picking up wings at 5:15. Oh, and my 8-year-old is currently slaughtering the Giants on the PS2 (NFL Gameday--today's her first day playing it; good omen, no? :) ).

You should try Supernatural! I haven't had a single person I got to watch it who didn't love it (except one person who can't abide horror in any capacity--and she still liked the show).
