Championship Round

I am totally blown away.

MALCOLM REYNOLDS LOST!!!!!!!!!??????????

Never saw that one coming.

AAAAAAAANNNNDDDD...

Wait for it...

You sitting down?

Dean and Raylan TIED! And they beat Harry Potter!

So we have three entries in the final round. And since this is my blog and I'm doing all this work, I have a case to make. *VBG* Sure, Booth is appealing. And I get that Raylan is the flavor of the month. He's all new and stuff, and that blush of first love is upon us.

But think about this. Which hero has taken on the biggest burden? Which has made the greatest personal sacrifices? Who is determined to save the world, and has died trying? More than once?

Now, have at it. Poll closes at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, and I'll post the winner sometime Saturday, depending on my family schedule. Have fun! :)

Woo hoo Raylan is ahead. Oh wait, I am the only one who has voted yet. So, it 1 - 0 -0 . It was hard to vote against Booth, but Raylan is my guy.

LOL, Tammy! I'm so glad you've participated this week! Thanks!

Okay I just voted for Dean!

I like to think Raylan made it this far (which SHOCKED me, to be honest) because he's got the old fashioned cowboy/western hero thing going. Speak softly and carry a big stick, so to speak. (I'm talking about the GUN, not, you know, another stick.) I think it's interesting that the final round has one hero you wrote up, one I did, and one the commenters added.

Thanks for doing this--it's FUN!

Thanks, Nas!

In my defense of Dean, I didn't mean to imply that the others aren't worthy. Raylan wouldn't be as popular as he is if he weren't!

Isn't it COOL that that's how it ended up? I've loved this!

Such an easy choice for me now. Go Dean!!!

Thanks for all the fun, Natalie!

Sorry, Vicky! :( There can be only one...

LOL--me, too, Ava! In case anyone couldn't tell.

Can I come back and vote for Raylan again? If our guy wins do we call get a little time with him.

Knock-knock. I read something very interesting on Publisher's Marketplace. Where is the news on your blog?

Cindy Procter-King said...

That was me accidentally posting as anonymous.

Natalie J. Damschroder said...

Yes, Sue, you can vote more than once! Whoever wins will get prominent placement in the announcement. Whether or not you get "time" with him, well, that's up to you. :)

Natalie J. Damschroder said...

Oooh, Cindy, would you be able to copy the announcement for me? Just copy/paste the text? I don't get PM but would love to see it.

I tweeted and FB'd the news, but the blog is committed to this promotional event! LOL I'll post something after the showdown is over. :)

My heart is broken. Mal.... :-(. I may have to watch the entire series of "Firefly" just to recover! In the meantime I made my second choice.

Natalie J. Damschroder said...

I know, Elizabeth, I was totally shocked and mourned for a while before I could post the next round. :(

I wish I'd found this sooner! But fortunately, Dean is still in the running so all is not lost. I can't believe Mal lost out to Raylan, (as wonderful as he might be).

Thanks so much for doing this, these are the things that get me back to blogging regularly like I need to. :)
