Week 2 Winner

MJ just drew the winner of the Barnes & Noble gift certificate, our prize for this week, and the winner is...

Virginia C! She posted a comment on MJ's eHarlequin blog, about Raylan Jennings. Congratulations, Virginia!

Everyone, come back next week for MORE heroes (the trait of the week is Leadership) and another chance to win!

Big Event! And Big News!

I thought MJ had already posted something about this, but I can't find it! Oh, I just remembered. It was in her newsletter!

Okay, anyway...! Starting next week, we are launching a HUGE event! It's the Month of Heroes, and every day, either she or I will be talking about a heroic trait and some of the characters who embody it. Next week, we start with Responsibility and talk about 5 hunky guys who shoulder a helluva lot of it.

For every comment that you post here or there*, you get an entry into a drawing for a gift certificate at the end of EVERY week! We'll encourage you to post your own suggestions, and we'll have a huge showdown in the final week, between her heroes, my heroes, and the ones you suggest.

*All comments posted on Facebook Notes, Goodreads, eHarlequin, etc.—in other words, wherever this blog or MJ Fredrick's blog appear—will be counted in the drawings for that week.

Wanna hear my other news?

I sold another book to Carina Press! Behind the Scenes is another romantic adventure. Kennedy Smythe runs a high-level security company hired to work on an old friend's movie set. Rogan St. James is the star of the film, and a target. Which makes him off limits in all kinds of ways.

I don't have a release date for Behind the Scenes yet, but you can bet your bippy I'll keep you posted on that. :)

Topping Off the Summer

On our last Saturday before school started, we took a day trip to Philadelphia and had a great day. I blogged about it Monday at The Gab Wagon.

It's been a good summer. Lots going on, many intentions that were never fulfilled, some stresses, but some good things, too, and overall, I'm happy.

Stay Tuned

Pretty swamped at the moment, so don't have the energy or the time for a real post. :(

But I wanted to remind everyone about the Nothing But Nets contest Rosemary Clement-Moore is holding:

Donate a little, help a lot. End Malaria, win books! http://bit.ly/bi34bw

And on Saturday, I have a guest blogger! Susan Gourley/Kelley will be here talking about her newest (really cool) release. So stay tuned!

A Breath of Magic

Release Day!

One of my closest friends, Tracy Madison, is celebrating the release of her third book today. I had the huge honor of critiquing A Breath of Magic and it's definitely the best of the three. But the fourth (out in December) is even better, and I'm pretty sure the fifth will be my favorite. But I digress.

To celebrate her release, Tracy is doing a Month of Mysticism, with a stupendously amazing month-long contest, of which I am a part, should I ever get off the stick and get my stuff to her. :)

Tracy did an interview for The Examiner about this book and the rest in the series. (FYI, the books all stand alone, but the first two in the series are still available!)

Congratulations, Tracy!
